Spring is finally here which means florals (For spring? Groundbreaking.), warmer temps, colors other than black. For beauty, this means it is the perfect time of year to try something new or to add a pop of bright color to your look. For hair, it’s all about the accessories. Tiaras may be a little too prom-esque and flowers may be too Coachella 2012, but you can definitely use these looks from Miu Miu and Moncler Gamme Rouge as inspiration. This hair trend was popular on the runway and can be easily recreated by putting your hair in a twist, adding a geometric or floral hairpiece, and loosening a few hair strands to keep the look wispy and light.
Not quite as bold as a classic red lip but not too pink, the perfect medium is a candy apple shade and it’s going to be huge for spring. This snow-white red apple shade was seen in looks all over the runway; most notably at Dolce & Gabbana and Zac Posen. The look of a fresh face, amplified brows, with a stroke of apple red channels inspiration from the 80’s.
With warm weather and vacations within reach, it makes sense that the hottest color for spring is blue. From turquoise to dark cobalt, pops of blue can be added to your look as a shimmery eyeshadow, liner, or even mascara. Blue is a great color that can be as bold or as neutral as you wish and is a perfect complement to sun-kissed skin.
To change up your eyeliner this season, emphasize your eyes with bold liners. Add “pop art” to your lids by forming crown-like spikes or accentuating the wing of your liner.
